A LOSS .... NOT ONE THAT I WANTED OR WAS READY FOR!

On September 20th I was in the middle of teaching my classroom when my cell started ringing. I usually don't answer it while I am at school but when they called back immediately I had a feeling something wasn't right. I picked up the phone and my brother-in-law said, "Mom is gone". I asked where she had gone and his response was, "She is dead". She was 57 years old, my husband had spoken to her two days before and she was fine! She took a nap and never woke up again. We will not know the cause of her death for at least another 2 weeks.

So I haven't been blogging because we have been very busy since then and because I am finally feeling a little more like myself. I have not exercised because my sleep has been sporadic. There are nights were I sleep 3 hours and some when I wake up on the hour. I feel drained emotionally and physically. My appetite has been almost non existent which is not like me because I am an emotional eater at heart. I have lost weight and if it was under any other circumstance I would be ecstatic.

It's hard to see my husband and my little girl so sad and try to maintain my composure and be the strong one. We all miss her very much!

I am going to begin exercising again this week. I actually miss it and think that it can get me through this time.

I  apologize if my post this time was sort of a downer ..... I am looking forward to going back to my routine and the way things were before that phone call.

Thanks for "listening".

Lucy,
I am so very sorry for your loss, and I know exactly what you are going through.
I got the same call from a paramedic telling me that my dad passed away, he was 55 years old and it was very sudden. He passed away on a Friday and I just had dinner with him the Sunday before.
It truly changed me as a human being. I miss him everyday and the only thing I can offer as comfort is that it gets a little easier with time, but there isn't a day that passes that I don't think of him.
If I can do anything for you or if you need someone to talk to please feel free to email me at live smile run at gmail dot com.
you are in my thoughts Lucy
xoxo

Hey, Girl! That is what we are here for...to "listen." Know that you have so many people loving you guys, thinking of you all, and praying for you.

I'm proud that you are going to start exercising again this week. I've been jogging...I know, me? Jogging? It's kind of a miracle, but I'm trying. Maybe we can change our brunch to a jog and a smoothie. :)

I love you and your family to pieces! :) I'm here. E
